Darwin’s book, On the Origin of Species, first published 150 years ago, was instrumental in the development of the theory of evolution. Unlike other major scientific contributions, such as those of Newton and Einstein, which were proven and adopted within a relatively short time, the theory of evolution is still a source of contention. Darwin recognised the inadequacy of the supporting evidence in his own day but assumed that as scientific knowledge increased, for example in the study of fossils, the theory would be confirmed. In reality, scientific research has revealed that the living world is far more complex than Darwin could have imagined and that, in reality, the theory of evolution becomes less credible with every new discovery. Recently, many scientists have concluded that there is clear evidence of design in the structure of our world and the life its supports. The Bible identifies God as the One who designed our universe and who controls it. The “Darwin Delusion” has been exposed.
