Solihull Bible Learning Centre is hosting a major exhibition of digital images of scenes from the extraordinary Book of Revelation, which is the last book in the Bible, during February and March.
The Exhibition will comprise 13 large images by local digital illustrator David Miles showing different scenes from an amazing prophetic book of the Bible which has fascinated generations of readers. They feature such images as the famous Four horsemen of the Apocalypse, visions of God’s glory and judgements on the earth and tell a dramatic story of how God will set up His Kingdom on earth at the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
“We’re delighted to be able to show these extraordinary images of a remarkable Bible book in the BLC,” says local co-ordinator John Botten; “The Book of Revelation is God’s last word to the world, given to Jesus Christ and then to the early Christians. Throughout history it has fascinated people and helped Christians to get through times of great difficulty and persecution. And it still carries a very powerful message for our day. ”
The digital artist and photographer David Miles is equally delighted;-
“This book was written nearly 2000 years ago. It contains a series of individual visions given by God to the Apostle John to show Jesus’ servants “what must soon take place.” Ever since then the visions have reassured followers of Jesus that although times may be hard, – even frightening, they should keep the faith. So I hope that the images which will be exhibited will give every visitor food for thought and renewed interest in the Bible.”
The exhibition, which is free, is on show in the Bible Learning Centre, Poplar Way, off Mell Square, Solihull from 10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Monday to Saturday from the beginning of February. There will be an opportunity for visitors to meet the artist and have a guided tour of the exhibition on Sunday 16th February at 2.15 p.m. and again on Friday 28th February from 12 noon.
